Paden City Glass Manufacturing Company of Paden City, West Virginia, manufactured popular etched tableware in over 20 different colors between 1916 and 1951. More than 1,500 color photographs highlight the many patterns produced by the company. The book contains 50 different etchings done by Paden City, as well as patterns and specialty items. Each etching and pattern is accompanied by a current collector value, making this the first value guide ever to be published by Collector Books on Paden City glass. The authors' ground-breaking research features factory drawings, pages from an Edward Paul catalog of the World War II years containing cologne sets previously not identified as Paden City, new information about etchings and colors, and rarities. AUTHORBIO: Carrie began collecting glass around 1971, when a friend showed her a collection of covered animal dishes. She and her husband, Jerry, began selling glassware on a part-time basis in 1984 and became full-time dealers five years later. They specialize in Fenton glass and Paden City glassware. AUTHORBIO: Jerry and his wife, Carrie, began selling glassware on a part-time basis in 1984 and became full-time dealers five years later. They specialize in Fenton glass and Paden City glassware. REVIEW: This book is one of the first to focus on glassware made by Paden City Glass. It includes hundreds of color photographs, listings, and values. Original company catalog pages and drawings are nice features of the book.
