Publication is coordinated with the December 1997 exhibition "Richard Marquis Objects", held at the Seattle Art Museum as part of "Documents Northwest: The PONCHO series." The text illuminates Marquis' life, artistic ideas and techniques, and at least half of the volume consists of dramatic illustrations (mostly in color) of approximately fifty pieces and groupings along with additional works and the larger sculptures and installations which are not in the retrospective. Concludes with a chronology, exhibition history, and bibliography, but contains no index. Oversize: 10.5x10.5
