Most of the hundreds of items in this black are fine-quality Pairpoint silver-plate, but you will also see examples of Mt. Washington's superb art glass -- Burmese, Crown Milano, Royal Flemish, Rose Amber, and many decorated wares. Further examples are Cockle Shell salt and pepper shakers; decorated crystal, including ruby (cranberry), blue, amber and orange-colored glasses; Rose Amber castor sets; Crown Milano cruets, Burmese castors and bowls; mushroom flower holders; and decorated eggs. The catalogue gives important documentation for the production of glass and metalware at a time when the Gilded Age was at its peak. It serves to educate collectors by identifying the outstanding products manufactured by this distinguished New Bedford, Massachusetts company.
