Plot

The complete history of the eight vessels named Hornet, of which the most famous was her seventh incarnation, the aircraft carrier that carried Doolittle's Raiders to Japan. That Hornet was sunk a few months later. The eight Hornet served during the final 15 months of world War Two, and is the most decorated warship in the American Navy.
