Batgirl Special

A serial killer began stalking rapists; the first murder being in the library where Barbara Gordon (Batgirl) worked. Believing the killer is an assassin she had a run-in with years before, Barbara tracks the Cormorant. She was able to stop him and the killer (dubbed "Slash") at the same time. Slash killed Cormorant, but she was subdued by Batgirl, who then retired from the masked vigilante business.
