Flash has lost his wife, and apparently his mind. He attacks the Justice League on their own satellite, almost defeating them before falling to their teamwork and exhaustion. Apparently, someone had drugged him, causing paranoid delusions that caused him to attack his friends. The next day, those friends stood by him at the funeral of his wife, Iris. He then made calls to several news agencies, telling them the Flash would have an announcement at the Flash museum the next day, leading them to believe he is going to retire. On his way to the museum, the Flash encounters the Mirror Master robbing an armored car, but he quickly puts a stop to the attempt. At the museum, the crowd will not allow Barry Allen to speak, wanting the Flash to appear so they can tell him they want him to stay. A girl named Melanie, who has telepathic powers, helps persuade him that the Flash is still needed and wanted in the city.
