As Green Lantern takes Carol Ferris to safety, still pursued by the Star Sapphire possessed Cowgirl, Carol tells him of what she's learned about the sapphires and the Zamarons.The Zamarons use the sapphires to control love, believing that by controlling and eradicating love, they can prevent wars.Cowgirl catches up to them and the three fight, eventually overcoming Cowgirl. The victory is short lived, however, as the Zamarons arrive.
