The Sinestro Corps, along with the Cyborg Superman, the Manhunter Androids and Superboy-Prime, attack Earth, combatting the Justice League and the Justice Society as Sinestro explains that he wishes to bring order from fear, telling Jordan that the Parallax possessed Kyle Rayner is already confronting his brother in Coast City.Jordan speeds across the country and tears Parallax away from his family, telling John Stewart and Guy Gardner to bring a painting from Rayner's home. Stewart arrives to back up Jordan but finds Parallax has now possessed him as well as Rayner.Above Mount Rushmore, the Sinestro Corps attack Guy Gardner but are themselves attacked by the newly arrived Green Lanterns, now empowered by the Guardians to kill their enemies. As the Cyborg fights Superman and the Justice Society rush to his aid, Superboy-Prim lands amongst them. With the help of Stewart and Gardner, who has retrieved Rayner's painting, Jordan and Rayner are able to extricate themselves from Parallax, destroying the host body in the process. As Parallax's spirit tries to reclaim Rayner, Ganthet and Sayd arrive with the Lanterns' power batteries, drawing the spirit into all four of them. Ganthet offers Rayner a Green Lantern ring and he accepts, forsaking his role as Ion as, in New York, the Anti-Monitor arrives.
