The Beyonder has found a quiet island to sit and think on. Others learn of it, and come to follow in his footsteps. Meanwhile, Mephisto recognizes that the Beyonder's power is still weak, and organizes a league of 99 supervillains to assault him while vulnerable. To ensure the Beyonder stays put, he dupes Ben Grimm into signing a power-boosting contract and sends him out as a distraction.
