Ragman journeys to the Dark Tower to free the Warlock's Daughter and, along with Nightshade, returns to the Oblivion Bar. Nightmaster is still mortally wounded, only kept from dying by the Enchantress's constant spell weaving which in turn is weakening her. Blue Devil is approached by Vortigar, a demon who claims he is now Blue Devil's servant. The members of Shadowpact decide to return to Hell to reclaim Lucifer's trident from Etrigan and recruit new members Midnight Rider and Acheron. The Warlock's Daughter volunteers as well.In Hell, Etrigan rallies as many demons to his cause as he can now that he holds Lucifer's trident.
