Soviet assassins Hammer and Sickle track Red Star to the United States to kill him. Meanwhile, the Titans observe Sarah Charles as she examines Eric Forrester for meta-human abilities at S.T.A.R. Labs’ San Francisco branch; Eric makes himself known to the female members of the team. The Titans’ old friend, Red Star, arrives at S.T.A.R. Labs for what he believes to be an exchange of information between the Soviet and American Governments. Hammer and Sickle invade S.T.A.R. Labs to retrieve him. The Titans battle Hammer and Sickle, and they depart with Red Star and Starfire as a hostage. Cyborg, however, is able to hijack a ride on the back of their escape van. Hammer muses to himself about the true mission: Kill Red Star to prevent any attempts of Glasnost.
