Skyrocket is a hero with a problem. In St Louis, she easily busts up a couple of villains from a group called the Cadre, but just as she's about to reel them in for the arrest, her hi-tech harness busts a fuse, allowing the villains to escape. She's a respected, but small-time hero trying to keep her equipment in working order based on her parents lab notes, while supplementing her trust fund with a job at Big Belly Burger. Her fondest wish is that she could focus on her work at Skyrocket, but she has to put the food on the table as well.Enter Josia Power. Formerly a lawyer, he plans to assemble a company that operates like a law firm, but with a focus on superhuman security services. The current partners include Manhunter clone Paul DeKirk, a mercenary and Witchfire... model, singer, actress and all around celebrity. Skyrocket would bring the firm respectability along with her reputation, and the firm would offer her police contacts, a larger income, and all the resources she would need to keep her high-tech equipment functional... while still allowing her time for her 'pro bono' hero work. She's about to decline the offer, when an alarm comes in. A museum, currently the company's only client is under attack. Skyrocket goes along with the Power Company's team to try to repel the attack.
