Plot

Captain Andrew Shewan was the last surviving tea clipper captain. Appointed captain of the Norman Court at the age of twenty-three, he raced from ports in China with the new season's cargo of tea. He was on board many of the British clippers he mentions and raced with them on the High Seas. His descriptions are more vivid and real than those of the best academic historian.
