Here is a beautiful, well-researched, pictorial book preserving some of the history of Alpharetta, GA and old Milton County, GA. The well-organized book is divided into early history, community, leisure and entertainment, economic development, government, war, Great Depression, and the merger with Fulton County, Georgia. There is an excellent, comprehensive Index (which is lacking in many local reference books), and a reference section for further reading. A great book for self-purchase and gift-giving, and it’s a first edition signed by the author and two local historians.
