Twiggs County Georgia Abstracts

Plot

Records collected over a forty year period when original, early Georgia newspapers on file at the Washington Memorial Library were searched for items concerning the Twiggs County families. The first hundred years of court house records had been destroyed by fire, so it was considered almost a hopeless task. Records were searched from Salt Lake City to Washington, D.C., and up and down the eastern seaboard. Compiled by Bess Vaughn Clark, Macon, GA
