Plot

William Williams has been identified as the first novelist in Colonial America. Besides his occupations as a ship painter, which led to his being the first theatrical scene painter, a teacher of music and painting, over 200 commissioned works of art in Colonial America and the West Indies have been identified as being painted by him. Williams is an important character who helped shape early American culture.
