This is an index to the Diocese of Ardagh wills that were preserved in the Public Record Office in the 19th century. The original wills were destroyed in 1922, but some abstracts do survive. The jurisdiction of the Consistory Court of the Diocese of Ardagh included all civil parishes in County Longford except Forgney and Noughaval; 5 parishes in County Leitrim: Annaduff, Cloone, Fenagh, Kiltoghert, and Kiltubbrid; 3 parishes in County Westmeath: Rathaspick, Russagh, and Street; 3 parishes in county Cavan: Ballymachugh, Drumlumman, and Scrabby; Kilronan Parish in County Roscommon; and Kilerry Parish in County Sligo.
