From Faith To Faith

What is meant by "from faith to faith" (Rom.1.17)? It is the dynamic of the gospel of Jesus Christ. John Calvin wrote: "From faith, for righteousness is offered by the gospel and is received by faith. To faith, for as our faith makes progress's, and it advances in knowledge, so the righteousness of God increases in us at the same time, and the promise of it is in a manner confirmed".
