Plot

Today, when much emphasis is placed upon united nations, united churches, and united religions, it is well for the Christian Church to be reminded and to remind itself of the finality of Christianity and its superiority over all other religions. The author of the Epistle of Hebrews does precisely that, and he does so by comparing those two religions which claim divine revelation--Judaism and Christianity. He shows that the superiority and perfection of the Christian revelation lies in the agent Himself, who is God's Son, perfect in Himself, perfect in His Knowledge of God, perfect in His function as revealer of God. Reverend T. Hewitt's remarkably compact and pithy commentary makes readily available the substance of this unique and often difficult New Testament letter.
