What a blessing it is to have a man of science, with all his precision and attention to the minutest significant detail, so full of wonder at the greatness and majesty of God that he can only speak of Him in terms of humble worship! Dr. Frost may have his bachelor's, master's, and doctorate in biology, but he writes with the lyrical flow and nuance of a born poet. Thousands have come to appreciate his truly unique blend of exactitude and understanding, through the ministry of his two preceding books, Aglow With the Spirit and Overflowing Life. The initial thrust of this new volume is again on receiving the Baptism in the Holy Spirit, both a disarming explanation of same and some suggestions for personal preparation. But the main emphasis is on what comes afterwards: what is next on God's plan for the individual, how important it is for him to cooperate and not resist what the Holy Spirit would accomplish within, and what are some of the obstacles and guides along the way to spiritual maturity. Showing the way to victory through surrender, the author presents a concise and easy-to-grasp picture of the tripartite nature of man: body, soul, and spirit, and...(illegible)...between a life lived with the soul subordinated to the Spirit (Spirit led) and the soulish hue of the still-carnal Christian. In conclusion, Dr. Frost summarizes the five basic needs of the Christan walk--confession, surrender, praise, faith, and hope--and directs the laser beam of Truth to the "soul-poisons" of resentment and self-pity, touching on the healing power of forgiveness, the mantle of authority, and knowing one's ministry, and likening our Christian life-cycle to the growth of a mighty river. -Publisher
