Renee Montoya and The Question conclude that their investigation into Intergang's intrusion in Gotham is leading them to Khandaq, and they prepare to depart. Adrianna Tomaz, the woman Intergang attempted to give to Black Adam to win his favor, is having a powerful effect on the ruler of that country, guiding him to focus on improving the lives of his citizens instead of gathering forces to combat superheroes from the US. He takes her with him into the Rock of Eternity and asks Captain Marvel if he can give her the power of Isis that resides within the scarab that Adam himself was entrapped within. Marvel agrees that she is worthy, and she becomes Isis.
