Vic Sage and Renee Montoya finally arrive in Khandaq to find the atmosphere in the country isn't exactly as they expected it to be. Black Adam has declared a fortnight of celebration to honor Isis. After the pair have gotten their room taken care of, they begin to track down their lead, provided to them by Vic's parter, Aristotle Rodor.Steel continues to mourn his neice's choice to join Luthor's super-team who are actively trying to present themselves as filling the shoes of the JLA. The new armor he had designed for her is now too little, too late.Doc Magnus is attempting to revive the Metal Men, but the responsometer technology that truly brought them to life and gave them their character isn't working anymore. But when he goes for his monthly visit to Professor T. O. Morrow, he finds that the professor has escaped the facility that held him. He left behind an envelope for Magnus, which might provide the key to restoring the Metal Men.
