Dissent begins to show among Lex Luthor's personal Justice League on the eve of their public debut, as the team's speedster departs. Luthor is taking great care to present his team as true heroes, including closely monitoring their conduct.Adam Strange, Animal Man and Starfire are trying to make it home in a crippled Thanagarian escape craft powered by a blade stolen from Devilance the Pursuer... who catches up to the trio as they try to figure out how to get around or through a meteor shower. But before they can even react to Devilance's presence, the three heroes are rescued by Lobo. But is he in fact a bigger threat than Devilance?
