Batman accuses Catwoman of stealing a neurotoxin, involving the GCPD. She escapes by using an amplifier collar she'd placed on one of her cats that makes it sound like a large wild cat. As she leaves, she tells Gordon where to find the Xyklon-C and advises him to keep it safe. Now that the police have it, the two renegade Friends can't poison the trade show - or can they? They kidnap Underhill and demand he mix a new batch of the toxin. Catwoman uses the Bat-Signal to summon the new Batman. She convinces him she's not trying to steal the neurotoxin and asks for his help thwarting the two renegade Friends. Those two have taken Underhill to a lab and put him to work cooking more toxin. One, Doogie, takes the mixture to the conference while the other, Marv, decides to kill Underhill. He's interrupted by Batman and Catwoman; Job tells them all he mixed for the Friends was tear gas. The police arrest Doogie before he can use the stuff. Catwoman boasts, enraging Batman.
