The Batmen fight it out, leaving Catwoman alone with weapons broker Penn Selkirk. Of course the GCPD misunderstand that situation, but Catwoman escapes with a dive into the river. At the hospital, friends wait for her to bring them the neural enabler that will help Brendan O'Boyle. Its inventor Dr. Hubble warns them that the device has never been tested, and Brendan's friend Germanicus tells her that he expects Catwoman to bring it shortly, and it will be tested on Brendan. Catwoman believes she must find the enabler quickly, as she's sure Selkirk can track it. She dives down and collects the device, but divers working for Selkirk net her. On the surface she discovers Hubble sold the device to Selkirk, and is forced to give him the device in exchange for the lives of her friends. Selkirk and Hubble escape in his limo - but Catwoman's driver has replaced theirs, and she collects the device as well as Hubble's jewelry. With the enabler, Brendan regains his ability to walk.
