In a state funeral, Steve Rodgers is laid to rest. In a ceremony normally reserved for the death of a President, his casket is drawn to Arlington Cemetary by a single white horse with no rider. Sam Wilson delivers an elegant eulogy for the deceased hero, as the eyes of the nation look on. Later, at a private ceremony attended only by the founding Avengers who were able to make it, Captain America's body was returned to the icy waters from which Namor removed it years ago. Despite the tensions between Atlantis and the US, Namor pledges that as long as he rules beneath the seas, Steve Rodgers rest will be undisturbed.
