While returning to Earth, Hal crosses into a neighbouring dimension, and is unknowingly subjected to mind control by the inhabitants. He returns to Earth with a mission to capture the Flash, not realizing that his quarry is none other than Barry Allen, boyfriend of reporter Iris West. Iris was sent to the coast to interview Hal Jordan, and GL and the Flash soon find themselves racing against time and each other.
