"The Day 100,000 People Vanished" - Green Lantern was scheduled to appear in Valdale, but was unable to make it. However, right when he was supposed to be there, the city's entire population vanished. The Guardians contact Hal to inform him of Sinestro, a former Lantern gone mad with power, who was exiles to Qward. Hal must head to Qward to free the people from Valdale and stop Sinestro.
"Wings of Destiny" - Hal dreams that Pieface begs him to let him fly, so Hal unconsciously uses the ring to turn Pieface into a seagull. The timing couldn't be worse; Pieface's old girlfriend is coming to see him when her plane gets hijacked.
