Includes passionate accounts of the revolution in Mexico, about class struggle in America, the birth pangs of American Communism, the 'Wobblies' or IWW, the biggest union in the US, and, of course, his dispatches from the midst of the Russian Revolution. Painstakingly edited by John Newsinger to show Reed's political development and depth of concern, it also includes a preface by Paul Foot.
