On the subject of international solidarity, this is an area which is desperately in need of more research and publication. An excellent beginning has been made by Don Thomson and Rodney Larson, authors of Where Were You, Brother?: an Account of Trade Union Imperialism, published by War on Want, 467 Caledonian Road, London N79 BE, England. Their book provides the reader with a clear picture of the negative role played by the top levels of the western international labour movement in relation to the oppressed people of the Third World.
