Harlock Saga
Harlock Saga is a OVA production, based on the character "Captain Harlock" from the classic Anime "Space Pirate Captain Harlock". Harlock is a pirate, a thief, yet the kind of man who would help anyone in need. Exiled from Earth because of his crimes, Harlock wandered the "sea of space," and on the way built a crew to pilot his ship the Arcadia. The last space pirate, destroyer of a hostile empire and protector of a planet that doesn’t want him, Harlock is in one word, a pirate.
A space cruiser finds out that merchant city-state of Aclucion is deprived of life and get boarded by Tochiro and Emeraldas, who make them blow a hole in the asteroid so they can look for ancient sorceress Meeme who is the navigator of Captian Harlock's ship.
The evil bandits are closing in on Tadashi and want him to make a ring from the Rhein gold. Captain Harlock and his space crew pursue the bandits to Earth for the ship Arcadia.
Lord Wotan, a God who reigns over Valhalla gets informed that the Rhein gold was stolen and of the forging of the ring. The Arcadia pursues the ship to a dark planet. Tochiro goes there and finds another planet hidden inside.
Lord Wotan calls Meeme and with the Arcadia to Valhalla so he can try to stop the Alberich and save their immortality. But Elda warns him that he should not underestimate Meeme. Tochiro gets separated from the rest of the group when the Arcadia crashes on Valhalla.
Tochiro gets lost on planet Valhalla but then he meets Freya who looks like Meeme. She tells him that her and Meeme grew up on Valhalla. They are attacked by Wotan's assassin robot.
Wotan tells the builders of his new fortress to destroy the Arcadia ship, but they don't want to because Freya is on board. They have the Arcadia board onto the fortress. Captain Harlock tells Wotan that he is going to stop Alberich for every life in the universe.
