Plot

Intended for use in teaching junior high and high school students about the Holocaust. Contains recollections and reproductions of art works by Fisch, a Hungarian Jew born in 1926 in Budapest. In 1944, after the German occupation of Hungary, he was sent to a labor camp; in 1945 he was taken on a death march to Mauthausen and Gunskirchen, where he was liberated. After the war he returned to Hungary; he emigrated to the U.S. in 1957. Fisch attempts to convey the message that "it is not the ugliness of hate but the beauty of love which survives in time."
