Avengers: The Initiative

Gauntlet is on the way to the base one morning when he is suddenly beaten severely by someone who used Gauntlet's own blood to write "NW" on his chest afterwards. Stark sends in S.H.I.E.L.D. agents to investigate, but the investigation ends when Gauntlet awakens long enough to report that it was the Ghost who attacked him. The readers learn that this is a lie, and that it was actually Slapstick who did the deed.
