Avengers: The Initiative Annual

Various briefings on different teammates take place, revealing their individual origins. We learn how Gauntlet obtained his mechanical arm, how Armory gained and lost her abilities, how Hardball's career started and why he did what he did during World War Hulk, and what the Liberteens are up to. In the course of these events, it is revealed that Congressman Woodman is a member of Hydra, who have a stake in Hardball's future, and that the leader of the Liberteens is a Skrull. This Skrull reports to someone at Camp Hammond who is also a Skrull, with plans to put a Skrull on every team in the 50 State Initiative.
