Basil Elks is conducting a robbery gone wrong when a broken gem imbues him with enormous power. Spider-Man stumbles onto the scene and starts to fight against him, but it takes the arrival of Captain Marvel to tip the balance to the side of good. The pair stay together as they race to prevent the Basilisk from obtaining the other gem of power.
