Plot

After almost twenty years of burned bridges, Meg Lancaster goes home to the sleepy, southern Oregon coast town of Crandon, leaving behind the fast-paced life in San Francisco, as well as a broken relationship with the boss's son. In Crandon, she finds herself wrestling with her relationships with her estranged mother, her grandmother, her sister, and her cousin Abner, who is determined to control the family cranberry bog that Meg loves. She also finds herself building a friendship with Jason, the son of her cousin, and Jason's girlfriend Clive. Then, just as Meg begins to make progress with her mother, her mom dies. As Meg works through her loss and her feelings of loss, and about the home and cranberry bog Abner wants to steal from her, her relationship with Clive's father, Brent, also grows. Homeward is a tender story about family, dreams, and faith.
