Reed and the new FF are racing to track down the egg that the Skrulls are tracking beneath Monster Island. They all arrive in time to see it hatch into one of the Empress' personal guards, and imprint itself on one of the Island's monsters. With the help of that robotic bodyguard, they manage to eliminate the threat of the second Skrull ship's crew, right around the same time Reed and Ghost Rider join forces to take care of the threat of the original Skrull invader. The Mole Man considers the possible damage this many heroes could do to his underground kingdom, and chooses to let them leave in peace.
