For reasons of his own, Galactus decides to tell Thor the story of his origins. He tells him about the now-dead paradise known as Taa and a creeping plague which caused his race to flee their planet. As they crashed their ship into the sun rather than face death by plague, the man once known as Galan felt a new life force surge through his body, changing him and the course of life in the entire universe.
