Sowing & Reaping – We Reap What We Sow

THE PRINCIPLE OF SOWING & REAPING
Galatians 6:7-8 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.8 For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.

Luke 8:5 "A sower went out to sow his seed. And as he sowed, some fell by the wayside; and it was trampled down, and the birds of the air devoured it….
11 "Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. 15 But the ones that fell on the good ground are those who, having heard the word with a noble and good heart, keep it and bear fruit with patience.
The Word of God only produces Christians only – Acts 11:26; 26:28
Man’s doctrine produces after its kind – Mat 15:7-9; Gal. 1:6-9; Rev 22:18
2 Cor. 9:6 But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.
There is MUCH abuse of this principle in this area . . .
Sowing MONEY does not reap miracles, financial gain, or assure successful relationships
Oral Roberts originated the doctrine of "Seed Faith" whereby God will return a multiplication of money to a person who gives money in faith, believing that they will receive a monetary reward, primarily for donating to the ministry of Oral Roberts.
“Plant your $58 seed today, ($1,000 would be better) – if you don’t have it – take a step of faith – God will reward you abundantly . . . 'You must give in order to receive...'”
Not just money, but time, ability, service, prayer, & labor - Mat 25:14-40; 1 Cor. 15:58
Not JUST what - but HOW! – 2 Cor. 9:6,7;
It is MORE blessed to give than to receive – Acts 20:35

One cannot believe & obey error and be in the truth!!!
A warning to CHRISTIANS! -
How do we sow to the FLESH? - Gal 5:19-21; 1 Cor 6:9-11; Job 4:8; Prov. 6:12-19; 22:8;
How do we sow to the SPIRIT? – By obeying the revelation of the Spirit - Gal 5:22,23; Prov. 11:18; James 3:18; Ps. 126:5
We do not reap what we sow necessarily TODAY!!!
There are storms and difficulties before harvest time!! – Acts 14:22
But be ASSURED – you will REAP what YOU SOW!
