James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.
Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.


His forbearance (self control even when provoked)
Matthew 5:45 for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.
Romans 3:25 to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed,

His patience (self restraint which does not hastily retaliate)
2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
