• Unquenchable …
• A warm fire or bright light that can’t be extinguished ..
• A determined desire that cannot be subdued or destroyed …
• Unquenchable thirst ..

• Jesus’ Zeal and Passion …

• Romans 12:11 not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord;
• Titus 2:14 who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.

• When Zeal is missing …
• Some care deeply about nothing …zeal-less “Whatever attitude”
• Leadership in the church is entrusted to those who have a consuming passion for Christ

• Misguided Zeal …
• Proverbs 19:2 It is not good to have zeal without knowledge, nor to be hasty and miss the way.
• Romans 10:2 they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge.
• Pray for Proper Passion ..
• God, help me know what’s important to You. Make me care deeply about those things…
• Care deeply about worshipping God with all my heart, faithfulness to the Word of God, humble, loving obedience …

• 2 We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers, 3 remembering without ceasing your work of faith, labor of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ in the sight of our God and Father,

• Your Work of faith …
• Work may be hard at the moment, but it will ultimately be satisfying and worthwhile…
• “One generation plants the tree, the next generation enjoys its shade”
• Faith takes risks, trusts God for the results …
• Your labor of love …
• Hard, strenuous labor, but you do it out of love because you believe in it , in spite of the sacrifice.
• It’s a job that has to be done, even when it brings no recognition …
• Your patience of hope …
• Hope sustains prisoners of war …
• Specifc Hope: in our Lord Jesus Christ
• “My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus Christ and righteousness…
