• Do not seek what you should eat or drink, nor have an anxious mind (vs. 29)
• Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom (vs. 32)
• Life today is stressful …

– Rosch: "Worry is a thin stream of fear trickling through the mind. If encouraged, it cuts a channel into which all other thoughts are drained."
• Physical world
• Vs. 22 “Do not worry about your life, what you will eat; nor .. what you will put on”
• Vs. 32 Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom”
• Divine Priority (22-23)
• 22 “ Do not worry about your life, what you will eat; nor about the body, what you will put on. 23 Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing.”

• God has a purpose for our life and promises to provide …
• 1 Pet 5:7 "Casting all your care on Him, He cares for you.“
• Philippians 4:19 And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

• Divine Provision ( 24)
• 24 “Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap, which have neither storehouse nor barn; and God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds?”
• Job 38:41 Who provides food for the raven, When its young ones cry to God, And wander about for lack of food?

• God provides for all His creation …
• Psalms 104:25-27 This great and wide sea, In which are innumerable teeming things, Living things both small and great 27 These all wait for You, That You may give them their food in due season.
• Psalms 145:15 The eyes of all look expectantly to You, And You give them their food in due season.
• Psalms 147:9 He gives to the beast its food, And to the young ravens that cry.

• You are of more value …
• Psalms 34:10 The young lions lack and suffer hunger; But those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing.
• Psalms 37:25 I have been young, and now am old; Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, Nor his descendants begging bread.
• Isaiah 33:15-16 He who walks righteously and speaks uprightly, And shuts his eyes from seeing evil..Bread will be given him, His water will be sure.
• Divine privilege (25-26)
• 25 And which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? 26 If you then are not able to do the least, why are you anxious for the rest?
• Worry will not add to your life …
• God will sustain our life until the proper time ...
• 2 Timothy 4:7-8 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8 Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.

• Divine preference (27-28)
• 27 “Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 28 If then God so clothes the grass, which today is in the field and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will He clothe you, O you of little faith?”

• God clothes the grass…
• 1 Peter 1:24 All flesh is as grass, And all the glory of man as the flower of the grass.The grass withers, And its flower falls away,

• King Solomon was not arrayed like the flowers …
• Worry is a lack of faith
• Matthew 6:29-30 and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?

• God’s paternity (30-31)
• 30 “For all these things the nations of the world seek after, and your Father knows that you need these things. 31 But seek the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added to you.”
– John 8:44 You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do.
