What does the Bible mean when it speaks of God’s predestination of certain events beforehand, even before people were born ?
What is Predestination ? ...

What is Predestination ? ...
Ephesians 1:5-6 having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, 6 to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.
Individual predestination? ...
Did God handpick certain individuals to make sure those he chose are the ones who end up being saved?
If so, not everyone is predestined to be saved and the majority of people never have a chance …
Inconsistent with God’s character ...
2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

Inconsistent with God’s character ...

God wants all to be saved ...
That whoever believes may be saved … the choice is ours …
Do we have free will or not? ...
Revelation 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, "Come!" And let him who hears say, "Come!" And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely.
What about Romans 9 ...

Ch 6-8 We can accept this gift by baptism and live new life in the Spirit, not flesh ..
Problem ... Israel’s rejection ...
The Israelites mostly rejected Jesus and were missing out on the salvation through faith in Christ …
Had God failed them and not lived up to His covenant?
Was there any hope for them?

Was God being unjust in this? ...

Is Salvation devoid of any response ? ...

Why did God harden Pharaoh? ...

God does not cause evil but uses it ...

How we can be children of promise ...
