The church today desperately needs to recover the depth, richness, and wonder of the biblical and Wesleyan docrine of salvation. Here is a study guide to make this recovery possible. Drawing deply on biblical and Wesleyan sources, Maxie Dunnam leads his readers on a rich and challenging tour of what it means to say that we are going on to salvation - saved by grace.
Nine well-drawn chapters map the full terrain of justifying, sanctifying, and perfecting grace, and mark off those detours which too frequently have confused the way of salvation. Previously issued as a treatise, the current edition has been expanded and updated with all new study guide materials for both individual reflection and group discussion. Here is a book about salvatio and grace which will itself be a means of grace for congregatoins and individuals.
Maxie Dunnam is widely known as a speaker and author, especially in the areas of spiritual formation devotional life, and prayer. He has published many books and, for several years, he was World Editor of the Upper Room. Currently he is President of Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky.
