June leaves her Michigan home to a future as a mail-order bride: partner and helpmate to a young Washington State pastor. But nothing works out as June expects. Her fiance is caught up in a vision to build an elaborate tabernacle, but others see a greater need in the local orphanage. June is drawn to the children and, with the 2 projects seeming to be incompatible, she is faced with difficult choices -- choices that challenge both her faith and her heart.
