Rembrandt was a Dutch painter and the son of a prosperous miller. Universally regarded as one of the greatest artists of all time, Rembrandt often turned to Scripture for inspiration. Rembrandt: The Old Testament features reproductions of 69 color oils, drawings and black-and-white etchings of such subjects as Abraham and Isaac, Noah's ark, Moses and the burning bush, Daniel in the lion's den, and David and Goliath.
