Plot

The Klondike represented his blinding ambition - and her only hope for escape. The Yukon Queen ... Cassidy Winslow leaves his family's ranch in Wymoing to pursue his fortunes in New York City. He soon tires of city life, and when a wealthy young woman breaks his heart, Cass heads for the West Coast, determined that he'll do anything to get rich. When news comes that gold has been discovered in the Klondike, a dying man offers to fund Cassidy's trip to the gold fields. But the offer comes with a condition Cass isn't prepared for - no matter how much gold is at stake. Serena Stevens was placed in a convent by her father after her mother's death, and though she hates the cloistered life, she has had little choice - until now. But Serena's big chance is fraught with hardship and danger ... and the company of a most unsettling stranger.
