It’s 1951 in Utah and the 16 year old grandnephew of famed outlaw Butch Cassidy (Brian Wimmer) Roy Parker (Ryan Kelley) discovers an old belt buckle belonging to his Great Uncle Leroy Parker (James Karen) who was in fact Butch Cassidy. On the back of the buckle appears to be an etched map leading to a long forgotten stash of Ortega gold. Legend tells that Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (Michael Van Wagenen) died in a hail of bullets in Bolivia. However, the discovery of the buckle by Roy puts the legend in question. What if Butch survived and returned to Utah and his Mormon roots. Roy along with Jesse (Dan Byrd), Martin (Brent Weber) and Ellie (Arielle Kebbel) set out to discover the truth about Butch Cassidy and the buried gold that the buckle seems to allude to. But, they are not alone in this quest because in the shadow of their footsteps is another who has been seeking the treasure for years.
