This is intended to be a comprehensive, annotated bibliography of published material, theses, and government documents concerning the Chickasaw Indians, one of the Five Civilized Tribes removed from their southeastern home by the United States government and relocated in the 1830s in what is now Oklahoma. Since the history of the Five Civilized Tribes is interrelated, the bibliography should be of use to anyone interested in any of the five tribes or in Indian territory, as well as in the Chickasaws.
