Plot

England 1717. Unable to apy tuition after his father dies penniless. Nathan Gull is thrown out of school. Now orphans, he and his siter Maud have no idea where they will live. But as fate would have it, an infamous pirate's son, Tamo White, offers them a thrilling opportunity: a free ride to the island of Madagascar. Together they sail aboard a ship owned by Captain Sheller, guardian to Tamo White, and dream of a peaceful and simple new life. But when their new home is invaded by a band of cutthroat pirates, their lives are anything but simple. They must learn to navigate their way through slave raids, lost ships, strange native traditions, deception, and terror. And they must figure out a way to oust the pirates.
